About Me

During my early childhood in Transylvania and during the reign of the dictator Ceausescu, my father was a photographer. Our bathroom was turned into a darkroom and my father would not let me go in because of the danger of touching solutions or disturbing him. Once I insisted so much that he finally agreed to take me with him. I couldn't see too much at first, but after getting used to the low light, I loved to stay there, watching every move and feeling the smell of those specific chemicals. That was my first experience in the darkroom and after that I kept asking my father to let me take photographs. After a while, because of the hard times, he gave up being a photographer and I lost the chance to develop my skills. I never lost this fascination with photography and now I have been given the chance to follow my dream.
